Default Dryer lag time between loads
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: PYG3200AWW
Age: 5 - 10 years

The dryer requires an hour or more rest time between loads to cool down. The dryer makes a weird sound and will not start up when you push the button. Do you think this is a belt problem or what? Each load will dry just fine, but the lag time is really frustrating.

sdavidson, you would need a motor, the motor is over heating, and needs to cool down before it comes back on. If you need further instruction, I could be reached at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom

Thanks for the reply. I have went to your website and requested more information. Was wondering if replacing a motor is a good job for a DIY'er or not?
