Question Dryer knocking
Brand: Frigidaire
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hello!

I have a four year old Frigidaire Gallery dryer that just began knocking a couple of days ago while spinning. What happened was some clothes got stuck between the drum and the housing (I think those terms are correct) of the dryer while it was running...luckily I was nearby and heard the dryer having some trouble but it was too late. Now it knocks very loudly at a certain point during its spin.

I'm going to attempt to fix this myself (well, have my better half do it anyways!) and would love some input on what anyone thinks this could be. Thanks for your time!

The drum might be touching the fan blower housing. That would cause a knocking sound.

So is that something that could simply be bent back?

Default Drum Glide

You might want to check the top drum glide. It's an insulation piece w/three plastic glides attached.
