hello, First post here. I have allready replaced the timer on my MDE7400AYW.The reason for this replacement was that we could not get the dryer to start when you pull the knob out. I had went o/l to another forum and ordered drier timer.

after installation the drier started up and ran fine,then I noticed my intili-dri lights were not indicating , they were working beforei switched out the timer,so I was just wondering if I should replace the circuit board to the lights? does this control the drier turning on/ off from senseing the driness of the clothhes?


I have searched some of the threads but have not come up w/a definite answer, so far.

Check to make sure that the wiring harness is plugged in properly to the control board.

What is the part number of the timer that you replaced?

What is the part number of the old timer?

If the lights worked before you replace that timer there may be a difference in the timers.

hey Shelia, t/y for the post.I will get the info.When i went back to check on the part I ordered I noticed there are 2 different timers,so i e-mailed the online -vendor and I never got a return.I tried to blow up the images on the site

For the correct timer you will need your serial number or the part number of the old timer.

My thought is that you have the wrong timer.
