Default Dryer keeps blowing fuses in the wall panel
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: performa
Age: 5 - 10 years

This maytag performa is about 5 years old and now it is blowing fuses in the wall panel. Some times it run fine and at other times it blows the fuse within 2 minutes of starting. There is no sign of heat on the blown fuses-like darkened areas.
No blockage in ventilation etc.It always blows the heater element circuit fuse
I would appreciate a solution to this problem
Thanks in advance.

Take the front off and clean all the lint out of vent pipe and around blower wheel. also look for a bra underwire touching element or wiring touching metal and shorting temporarely

Would also check to make sure the blower squirrel cage is not slipping on the motor shaft

Could also be a thermostat is not not regulating the temperature
