dryer worked great till tonight. New load of towels, not heavy. Hit start button. There is a hum but drum won't turn. Drum itself is very hard to turn freehand. Tried different settings. Took load out. Same thing. Seems like motor is trying to turn drum but can't
If a loud hum, you have a bad motor. To confirm, take apart dryer, check blower housing for a jam, then check motor, probably bad bearings/start winding.
