Question Dryer hot/timer not advancing
Brand: Hotpoint
Model Number: nllr113evoww
Age: 5 - 10 years

My dryer started out like it was going to work. Then I noticed the timer had moved some of the way around and stayed in one spot. When I opened the door the clothes were about ready to have a meltdown. Freaked me ,could have had a fire.
Is this the timer? If so what do I remove? all of it?
Thank you,
Mapper 1380

It sound like you using the automatic cycle.

The operating thermostat has likely failed causing the dryer to cycle on the high limit thermostat.

The timer will not advance on the auto cycle if the operation thermostat fails.

The operating thermostat is located at the front of the dryer in the blower housing.

Here is a link to your dryer model nllr113ev0ww.
