Question Dryer heats but still takes a long time to dry
Brand: Speed Queen
Age: 5 - 10 years

Just replaced the drum roller and the belt, but it takes longer to dry now. Runs nice and quiet and there is heat, but the whites which usually took 50 minutes takes 70-80 minutes.

You could very well have a clogged vent Do a few things here. Take the front off, and then there is a housing that fits inside the tub assembly that is held in by two 5/16s screws on the right, and two on the left. Take them off, and pull away the assembly, and clean out the lower blower housing, and then put it all back together. Also take the vent hose off the back, and clean it out. Then put it back on, and go outside, and see if the air blows out good. Then dry some clothes. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
