Default Dryer heat diminishes after few miutes
Brand: Amana
Model Number: LGS10AW
Age: 5 - 10 years

It is actually LGA10AW Amana/ Maytag Gas Dryer, my "typo" in heading above.
The vent is clean and the gas dryer had been working properly for several years, no prior problems.
Clothes won't dry!
I just installed new;
flame sensor, and the 2 thermostats (High Temp and Cycle) with new parts, NO improvement.
Igniter and the 2 coils on the gas valve are ordered, timer will be next, then as a last resort I will replace the gas valve.
It will heat up and then after a couple minutes, it's gone again.

Hello RobertP3252,

Wait, wait wait. Don't change the timer just yet. PLEASE. Their are many things to answer here before you go that far. This thread is not that new and I don't know if you are still watching since you didn't recieve any answers. if you are than I will work together with you to solve this but please wait to spend that money on a timer.

Hi,
I haven't added anymore parts and the dryer still is acting the same. I haven't changed the igniter, the 2 gas valve coils, gas valve or timer yet.
I appreciate your offer to help, as my wife is about ready to "hang me out to dry." Thanks! Robert

I will check back periodically to see if I hear back.
I will post the solution, when found.

SURPRISE! (After an almost complete teardown the first failed attempt!!! )
I replaced BOTH "gas valve coils" with NEW replacements and PRESTO, the dryer is back in FULL FORCE!"
Removed (re-removed I should say) the 2 screws holding the lower front panel, near the floor surface, and unplugged the 2 terminals, (3-prong and a 2-prong) and removed the front Phillips head screw on the coil's hold down bracket, and then I just loosened the rear screw enough to pivot the bracket, to clear both coil. I then removed and replaced the coils and further installation was basically the reverse of the disassembly.
