Age: More than 10 years

Dryer will take hours to come up to drying temperature

start by checking the vent to make sure it is clear

Vent is clear and OK. This Maytag is a gas dryer What would you advise as a next step?

if the dryer heats up in the begining of the cycle and then stops heating and the dryer is about 10 years my guess would be the coils on the gas valve
