Default Dryer felt bearing attachment
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: C1108800079
Age: More than 10 years

The original felt came loose from the front panel. It is still in good shape
and could be reinstalled. New ones are available and come with glue. I would like to re-attach the original. What type of glue should I use?

I fixed a similar problem with hi-temp automotive gasket sealant. Make sure it says for High Temperatures, and let it THOUGHORALLY Dry. If it says give 24 hrs to dry, let it ride the full course...... Of course, only a suggestion, I am not a professional, but am good at AfroEngineering things! LOL!!!

Thanks Syx. Tried your suggestion and we're good as new. Also cleaned up the dryer air path as well. Amazing how much lint and dust sticks to the internal parts.

Isn't it though, you'd think the lint would be either trapped in the filter or sent out the house, not the case it gets in there into everything. With as much lint as you pull out of just one dry cycle (not even counting the lint your washer accumulates) you'd think after just three washings there would be nothing left of your clothes. You just have to ask, where does all this lint come from if you don't have large pieces of your clothing missing, just amazing.

I am glad that worked for you DaveyJ! And Yes I agree, there is a lot of lint that accumulates inside the Dryer Housing. We actually had a small fire inside our Dryer several years ago. Took the garden hose to it and called the fire dept to make sure I got it out! Was a trip! I suggest people clean out the lint once a year or so if possible. Ya never know...... Take Care, and Happy Fixin'! Syx.
