Hi!

I just tried to start my stacked Maytag washer/dryer -

however when I press the start button it just makes a VERY loud beep and the dryer does not start

also when i turn the time button on it (to say 20min) nothing happens (usaully it just ticks ticks away)

is it a lost cause? do i need a new dryer? (the washer still works)

OK -

it seems the loud beep it makes is the same beep the dryer emits when its done drying - i.e. when time is up

it is possible the timer is broken?

how would I know? if it is the timer, how hard is it to replace it?
