My dryer just started drying really really hot and after reading the forum I think it is the cycle thermostat. Is there something else it could be? Also is there a place where we can find a schematic to do the repairs?

Your cycling thermostat is usually on the blower housing, just replace. Also, make sure your venting is ok.
