I can select the mode, time... but when I press "start" nothing happens. Before it stopped working, I often had to push on the door to re-start it during a drying cycle, and the last few times it worked, I had to push on the door at all time or it would stop.
What could be the problem?

It sounds like you have a broken switch or actuator.

Check and make sure that the screws holding the switch are tight.
