Default Dryer doesn't heat properly
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: mdg3000aww
Age: 5 - 10 years

my dryer isn't heating up properly I've noticed that the gas ignites for about 5 seconds and then goes out. This process is repeated every minute. I've replaced the cycle thermostat, thermal fuse, flame sensor and gas valve coils and still have the problem. the only thing i didn't replace was the hi-limit thermostat. what else do I need to do?

did you clean the vent and the lint in the dryer. sound like the flame is backing out the flame tube and tripping the roll out limit. try cleaning everthing frist before you replace anything else. and if that works then hold on to the parts you took off

I would check you ignitor. if its not drawing 3.2 amps . Your gas valve coils will close the gas valve. and no more gas.. let me know what you find out?

this is not a oven. the ignitor has nothing to do with closing the valve. ignitor drops out of the circuit after it switches the flame guard sensor
