Default Dryer doesn't dry
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LG5701XMM1
Age: More than 10 years

I get plenty of heat, but no air movement. I've checked and I am getting venting outside, but no air movement inside the dryer when I bypass the safety switch.

I can feel the heat but there is no air at all moving inside the dryer. Any ideas what it might be?

Does the drum turn when you turn it on?

Here is a link to your dryer model LG5701XM.

If there is no air movement in the dryer how are you getting venting outside?

Or do you mean that the vent is clean?

Have you check the belt?

Can you please check the last two digits of your model number?

I am getting air movement outside.

Belt is ok

What I did, was I removed the vent chute and hosed it out. I vacumed everywhere behind the opened dryer frame and made sure everything was cleaned from lint.

I replaced the clean lint chute and fired it up and it works great now. It was just filled with huge amounts of lint!!

Not to sure what happened since I regularly clean the lintscreen.
