Default Dryer Does Not Heat Up Anymore
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: Not available
Age: 5 - 10 years

Dear All:

My dryer does not heat up anymore. I bought it used about 1 1/2 years ago. The used applicances vendor where I bought it from would fix it but wants $101.89 for it. When I called them yesterday the woman said something about a broken lubricator. I wonder if I would be able to exchange that part myself to save some money? Is that a very difficult and techy thing to do or is that an easy to exchange if I'd get the part? Any advise why that thing does not heat up anymore and if I am able to do it myself would be very much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Warm regards, Birgit

Can you please supply your model number?

I am not sure what they meant by a broken lubricator but there are a few things that you can check.

First check the fuses in your home.

There are two fuses that run the dryer.

Check the wires were they go in the back of the dryer.

One could be burnt off.
