 Dryer buzzes with the "completion cycle" buzzer when START is pressed but won't run. Brand: Maytag Model Number: LDE8626ACE Age: 5 - 10 years
Maytag dryer LDE8626ACE buzzes with the "cycle complete" buzzer sound when START is pressed, but the dryer doesn't run, no matter what drying cycle is chosen (timed, more dry/less dry, etc.). The timer continues to move, but the drum never turns, and the dryer never starts.
Unsuccessful troubleshooting I've tried:
1) Verified the vent is clear by removing the vent duct
2) Cleaned the "more dry / less dry" sensor (two silver strips on the bottom, inside front of the dryer).
3) Turned the drum counter clockwise while pressing the door latch in
I don't have a meter, so are ther any other tests I can do to isolate the problem? |
