Default Dryer about to go to the junk pile
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: PYE2300AYW
Age: 5 - 10 years

My Maytag Performa dryer will not run, when I set the timer and push the button the heating element will glow for about 10 seconds, then it will go out but it seems to still be producing heat, however the motor will not start, I do not hear any humming or other low level noises, nothing smells like it is burning, no unusual odors, I have checked the timer, it counts down like it should, I have checked the door switch, it is okay. I have also checked both heat sensors, both appear to be functioning, voltage where required and continuity checks out. Could someone please give me something else to check, or offer some suggestions?
Thanks for any help ahead of time.

It sounds like you either have a dead motor. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
