my wife loaded the dryer last night and turned it on we woke up the next morning and it was still running and it doesnt get hot also the timer isnt working now what could this be?

If you are using the auto dry cycle the timer will not advance with no heat.
Check the house fuses or circuit breakers. If they are good check the wiring in the dryer.
