My dryer has electricity, it just makes a "buzzing noise" when you turn it on and the drum will not spin at all.....it is NOT A BELT PROBLEM!........that's been ruled out......i would love some feedback and suggestions from anyone, THANK-YOU in advance.

Paul I need a model #. because I have seen crosley, made under whirlpool, and norge. My other question is when you say it buzzes what exactly do you mean? If you turn the timer to timed dry, and start, is it totally dead or does it buzz? You can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom

The below applies if the buzzing is coming from the motor

Rotate the drum by hand
It should rotate fairly easily
If not find out why

Open the door
Close the door switch
Have someone push the start switch
Then manually rotate the drum in the correct direction
Watch your knuckles, there is a good chance the dryer will start
If it does, your problem probably is the motor itself or the centrifugal switches on the motor

Get your warranty out, many dryers have a 5 year warranty on the motor (Parts Only)

I Just Bought A Bran New Dryer And Have The Same Problem. I Did Get It
To Spin Doing It By Hand And Starting It But When I Put Any Clothes In The Dryer It Stops Spinning

I hope the dryer you bought was not new, and you had to do that to get it started
