Default Drier Too Hot
Brand: Maytag
Age: 5 - 10 years

We have a Maytag drier that is running too hot. I have checked the following
Vent lines clean and air flow is ok.
Heating element comes on only when drier turning and venting.

Could the blower be on its last legs or could it just be a malfunctioning thermostat. Does the thermostat act to cycle the heating element while running?
Thanks.

Yes the cycling thermostat cycles to turn the heating element on and off.

If the dryer is to hot this usually means that is cycling on the hi limit thermostat.

You will need your model number to order the thermostat.
