My dryer won't start. It seems to be getting electrical power just fine. When I set the timer and adjust the temp, I hear the little mechanisims humming. The drum turns with little effort.

I was looking for the switch that indicates that the door is closed, but can't find it. I see an opening and 2 screws in the upper right hand corner of the door enclosure. I'm guessing that the switch arm is broken.

Any advice would be well appreciated.

If the piece that has the white coating on it is not sticking out you are right it is broken.

You my not need the switch itself but here is the actuator and switch.
