Question Door button wiring
Brand: Amana
Model Number: ALE866SAW
Age: 5 - 10 years

I happily replaced the drive belt with a PartSelect belt, but the door button wiring pulled loose and I can't figure out how to rewire the thing. There are only four wires, but I'm apparently sort of a doofus, managing to burn one switch up and being completely unsuccessful, and with laundry stacking up like crazy. (My son, a bright guy, looked at it though and couldn't get it to work either) Can anyone send me a wiring diagram for this thing or tell me where to find one online. The PartSelect diagram shows the switch but no wires and the switch manufacturer just shows a photograph of the switch. Much thanks!!

John

White goes to connector 1. (Common)This then goes to Neutral at power in

Black goes to connector 2. (NC) This then goes to the interior light

Grey goes to connector 3. (NO) This goes to Timer pin 4 which goes to the motor and a white wire to a thermostat

Do not know why you have 4 wires since the switch only has 3 connections
To connect 4 you would need a spade lug gang connector
