Unhappy Doofuss Crossed wires/Now won't work
Brand: Frigidaire
Age: 1 - 4 years

I was replacing the pigtail on our dryer and crossed the connections. I wired a hot wire to neutral and the neutral to a live. Heard a pop. The 30 amp breaker tripped. After resetting the breaker, there is power to the door light, comes on when opened, but all else is dead. No power to the digital display and won't start. Did I fry the thing. Or are there some internal fuses that may have saved me. Despite my stupidity, I am really quite handy and capable of fixing an appliance. I am at work and don't have the exact model number.

If the dryer is an electronic model you may have fried the board.

Can you please supply your model number?
