Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MDE4000AYW
Age: 5 - 10 years

Me and my husband are trying to remove the lid of the dryer there are plastic clips holding it on we guess and we are trying not to break them to get the lid off.

If you are trying to remove the door, open up the door, and you will see a phillips head screw, that holds the upper door hinge in place, take it out, and the 1 that holds the bottom door in place. Then lift up the door, and pull it out. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
