Default Directions to change belt
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: n/a

I just purchased a belt for the above dryer, after measuring it, it was the Dryer belt, 89.5" with 4 ridges. Your old belt may have a red backing. After receiving this belt and attempting to install, it seems to have too much slack. Is there another idler pulley I am missing, as I don't have the drawing for installation of this belt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

John

There is only one way this belt goes on, with the grouved side against the drum and routing the belt around the idler pulley. Maybe your drum spindle is not in the back bearing?
