This is a series 80 gas dryer. It heats & runs fine when it's empty. But when you put wet clothes in it, it heats briefly then stops heating; it continues to run without heat, but the dial doesn't advance. This happens on all heat settings & all cycles.
The vent is clear; in fact we've removed it completely to be sure that wasn't the problem. Repairman could find nothing wrong, but he only ran it empty! (not a sears repairman. heard too many horror stories about their service)
Any suggestions? This dryer is 18 months old.

It could be the sensor in the back of the drum.

It could be a wire loosing connection when the weight is put in the drum.
