Default Crosley Dryer Won't Start
Brand: Crosley
Model Number: CDE22B7V
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Crosley CDE22B7V rev 10 dryer that I'm having problems with getting to start. If I select the drying time from the timer on the front panel and punch the button in, I can hear the timer start to run in the control panel but the dryer won't start running at all. It just sits there. In reviewing the forum, I've seen two possible solutions:

1) new dryer drive motor

2) replace the thermal fuse

I need to verify the above and which item the thermal fuse is on the schematic listed here:

Maytag CDE22B7V Parts List

Am I looking at the PS177300 High Limit Kit (Series 10) or is it a different part number?

Thanks in advance,

Shane

Ok, it took a bit of time to locate the thermal fuse as the heater schematic here doesn't explicitly state which item is the "thermal fuse". FWIW, I finally found it and I've verified that the thermal fuse has been blown. I used my multimeter to check the resistivity and it's off the chart. Which part number do I need to purchase?

I looked at your parts list and I would say that you have to buy the kit
with the thermostat and thermal cutoff included
