Default Convert US spec drier to UK European power
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: DBXR453ET3WW
Age: More than 10 years

Hey everybody!
Years ago I got stationed in the UK, and took my old US-spec bulletproof Maytag laundry gear with me. The washer was easy to run -- plug it in to a step-down transformer, and live with the fact that after about three years the 60hz timer motor running on 50hz eventually overheats and dies. The drier was a bit fussier, being of course a 240V two-phase with 240 volt heaters and 110volt tiimer and drive motor. Well, that one I patched in to, putting the motors on a step-down transformer and letting the heating elements stay where they are.

What I'd like to do this time though is get 240 volt timer module and drive motor for this drier. The schematic seems to suggest a part number for the drive motor (WE17M25), but no knowledge about the timer. Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Mike
