All the baffles broke off. I have ordered the new ones and am wondering the easiest way to get the top of the dryer off so I can replace them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. There are a couple of ways you could do this repair. One question I have is do the holes in the tumbler look like they were worn out by the baffles falling off? Also, do you have all of the baffle screws, or did they fall into the dryer?

If the holes look worn out then I would consider putting a washer on the screw when you fasten down the baffle to the tumbler.

Here is the way I do this repair. Unplug the dryer. Remove the screws from the door hinge, remove the door, and remove the screws from the other side of the front panel. Then remove the front panel.

You should now be able to get your hands in the machine and to the tumbler. If you are sitting in front of the dryer then the right side of the tumbler is where you want to focus on. You should be able to hold the baffle to the tumbler with your left hand and start the screw from inside the dryer with your right hand. Then secure them with a 1/4 inch drive rachet and socket.

If you want try that, or if you want to remove the entire tumbler let me know and I can give you further dissassembly info for that.
