Question Changed Glow Plug...still no heat
Model Number: EGD4300TQ
Age: 5 - 10 years

ESTATE Super Capacity
By Whirlpool

My dryer is not producing any heat. After removing the front and top panel I noticed the glow plug was not heating up when I turned the dryer on. So I went to a dealer and bought a new one. The installation was quick and easy; when I restarted the dryer, much to my surprise, the new glow plug would not heat up.

Is it possible I bought a faulty glow plug? What else could be causing the glow plug to not ignite?

You should have checked for voltage to the igniter; now you will need to refer to the schematic to find out where the problem is. Could be timer, thermal fuze, bad wire, etc.
