Default Cards dropped down dryer chute - Noise now
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LE6810XSWO
Age: 5 - 10 years

HI, A group of playing cards fell down the dryer lint screen chute when I was removing the lint screen. Many cards came out but I think a couple are still stuck somewhere as the dryer is making a noise now when running. I can reach in at the bottom in the back where the air comes out and feel the wheel, but no card(s). I've tried putting a coat hanger down the chute but can't locate another card.

Is there another way to access the wheel or some other place a card could get stuck?

It's making a higher pitched sound now , probably from the card vibrating. I'm afraid to keep running the dryer as the card may heat up and maybe catch fire. It smells a little when running but hard to tell if it's from a card or just the smell of the normal heat from the dryer.

Thanks,
katrich

The cage that the blower is in has clips that holds the front on. You'll have to loosen the coupling between the motor and blower plus remove any screws to remove the blower. Then it's just a matter of removing the clips to gain access.
