Default Buzzer driving me crazy
Brand: Amana
Model Number: NDE2330AYW
Age: 1 - 4 years

When cycle finished the buzzer sounds to let you know cycle is finishing. Now the buzzer will not shut off until you open the door, but continues to buzz when the door is closed again, even when dryer is off. I donot know what is controlling the buzzer or what is malfunctioning?

Buzzer is normally controlled by a set of contacts in the timer
The contacts may be welded together

Can check them with a meter
You could try cleaning them if you can see them
If not I would disconnect it.
Remove both wires from the timer
Tape them up so they cannot short or cause other problems also put a little note in as to where they go. Then if you ever have to replace the time you know where to connect it.
It is located in the control console
