Default Burning electrical smell
Brand: Magic Chef
Model Number: YE225LV
Age: 5 - 10 years

I replaced the High Limit Thermostat and the Thermal Fuse thinking these might be the problem. Yesterday the dryer would run and then quit mid cycle. I thought it might be overheating. When I try to start it I get a hum and a slight burning odor. Could it be the motor?

Yes, unfortunately it sounds like the motor is kaput.

Try turning the drum by hand to check that it turns relatively easily.
If it does then your motor probably needs replacing.
The original problem was most likely the motor overheating and tripping it's internal overload protector.

At over $100.00, it may not be worth replacing.
