Default Borsch dryer - galvernized drum ?
Brand: Other
Model Number: WTA-3003GB
Age: Less than 1 year

Hi all,
i'm new to this wonderful forum and from singapore- a small island in asia,
my Elba dryer (made in italy) motor bad after 5 yrs....give a sudden rumble sound and then motor just stop with humming sound.....decided to change a new dryer.

while shop for a dryer (we got limited choice here). i saw the BORSCH dryer (made in england) which suit my need + budget, however, it come with a galvernised drum....i thought stainless steel drum should be much superior then galvernized ? will it get rust easier if my cloth button (esp those metal button) rub the coating ?

the next closest choice will be the Fisher and parklr dryer (made in Australia), it's a stainless steel drum but with small capacity and higher electricity consumption.....

please advice ! thanks a lot and sorry this is not really a repair question but it's more a precaution of selection to prevent future repair need !

Cool

Oh thanks bettyboop, Borsch is a good company from what I see. Never worked on one, stainless is better but the drums from alot of companies are made of steel and have been around for years. If the dryer meets your needs then go for it and just because I'm from jersey dosen't mean I'm worldly we just act like it
