Default Blowing thermal fuses
Brand: Crosley
Model Number: CDE6000W
Age: 5 - 10 years

is about 5 years old
well a few weeks ago I was here looking why my dryer stopped working
I found info here that pionted me to the thermal fuse under the heating eliment
ordered the thermal kit for $30ish dollars put it in all good...it blew agian after maybe 2 weeks

I thoguht the 1st one might have blown because it was real dirty lint wise thoght it was causeing the heat to not be pulled out as fast as it should etc
all clean now but still blew

I take it for somereason my heat elem getting to hot and needs replaced????

dont want to spedn another 25-30 for the kit to get one fuse doesnt make much sence so ill try ot find a place to get the one

either case if anyone can tell me what would cause a thermal fuse to keep blowing meaning what I shoudl replace let me know thanks

Did you install the thermal fuze kit pn la-1053 This kit includes the high limit thermostat. The thermostat kick off temperature is below the thermal fuse so it should kick off befor the thermal fuze blows!!
Other things to look for, poor venting, high temperature=above 160 degrees, shorted heating element or welded to case.

Temporarily short the old fuze and run the dryer. Check operating temperature. It should get no higher than say 165 degrees. If so change the operating thermostat.
Also check your venting, make sure it is venting properly.
