Question Blowing thermal fuse
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FLXE52RBS6
Age: More than 10 years

I have a Frigidaire stacked washer/dryer unit. I have been thru 3 thermal fuses in the last week or so. The repairman replace 2 and I replaced the last one after I cleaned the vent. The side of the dryer was too hot to touch and the thermal fuse blew again. I checked the blower fan and it is spinning, but if I unplug the dryer and and hold the motor shaft from turning, I can spin the fan blades around the shaft. Should this spin freely on the shaft or should there be something holding it fast? Could this cause my problem of the overheating even though it is spinning when the motor is running? I could really use some help on this one. I am over $300 into this and do not want to keep throwing money at a 10 year old appliance. Thanks.
