Black powder (like graphite) on inside of door Brand: General Electric Model Number: model dbxr453gt2ww Age: 5 - 10 years My GE gas dryer has been making a loud noise for quite a while. I ignored it (possibly for too long) until black powder started accumulating on the inside of the dryer door near the top. It seems to be something like graphite lubricant. Clothes are also getting caught on the plastic parts between the drum and the door, and then getting black marks on them because of the powder.
Does anyone have an idea what may be the source (and solution) for the black powder? And for the noise? |
