Default Auto dry never stops
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: SDE3606AYW
Age: 1 - 4 years

When utilizing the auto dry option the dryer never stops. So we use the timed option. Where is the sensor? Could it be dirty? WE had a broken Lint trap which I replaced. Thanks in advance

The sensor is located inside the drum. If you stick you head in the drum, look down and to the right. If you use dryer sheets you could have a build up. Clean it off real well, and give it a try. If not it could be a partially clogged vent, or a thermostat. If you need me you can reach me at my website at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
