hi, what a great site, ive been reserching and you wouldnt believe how helpful this has been to me, thank you. i think ive done everythingup to now correct but am now kinda at a dead-end & could really use your help.
ok, breaker box checked out ok (everything on dryer is working, but is blowing cold air) and all the wiring in the dryer checked out too. so i have pulled the element and both thermostats, my question is will there be a visable break in the coils on the element, because i dont see any. it looks ok to me but im not sure if it was bad if i could see it, both thermostats make clicking noises when i shake them too. so what im really asking ya'll i guess is this: i have a ohm meter that works & all i just dont know how top use it, could you tell me what i need to do as far as what to set it on, what to look for, do i need to put them back on dryer to check them, does dryer need to be plugged in or not. or any thing else im overlooking or could check. im pretty sure ive read all the other threads and they have been helpful, i hope im not asking a question ya'll have already answered. thanks so much in advance for your time(ive been on this all night, ive put it off & my wife is ready to whoop me & get a new dryer) and sorry for the long winded question.
regards, scott

Scott, Did you check for continuty, Both thermals, both thermostats, and element coil? They must be cked with an ohm meter. I have never heard of shaking parts to see if they are good! Ask your friends how to read a ohm meter, most people can, and one might live nearby. Check every thing then let us know what you found. Bettyboop
P.S. Unplug before working on dryer

Scott i think you should listen to your wife. get the new dryer keep the old one and get to learning how to use your volt/ohms meter. and when the new one breaks down you will know how to check it without staying up all night
