Question Admiral Dryer Won't Start
Brand: Admiral
Model Number: LNC7759A71
Age: 5 - 10 years

My dryer just stopped running the other day. It is getting power, but it will not start. I've opened it up, cleaned it out, but still no starting. I've tested (with multimeter) the thermostat next to the heating element successfully, as well as the door switch. I just pulled off the control thermostat and tested it and I "think" it tested successfully. I can hear something "ratteling" around if I shake it. Is this normal? I'm testing with a Fluke 10 multimeter and have it set to continuity / diode which I believe is how I should be testing these parts according to the repair guide on this site. Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Mike

How much power are you getting to the dryer?

Check the wiring in the dryer.

Check at the terminal block where the cord is hook to.

Check the wiring at the motor.

Check the wiring in the console.

Can you please verify your model number?

It should be on a tag with the serial number.
