I made a mistake by popping off the front cover of the outlet duct assembly for my Maytag dryer model LDE8704ACE, where the lint screen slides into, and need to know how to put it back on. I realize that they just used dabs of some kind of adhesive around the edge to hold the two plastic pieces together. I looked it up and Maytag has a rubber adhesive (055978) and a high temp. adhesive (055980), but is this part in a high temp area? or since this part doesn't seem to be under any kind of stress during dryer operation, could I just use an epoxy from Home Depot made to bind plastics to other plastics?

In the duct of the dryer it is best to use a high temperature adhesive.

The high temperature adhesive that you have chosen is used many when install the felt seals.

The temperature in the lint shout is around 145 to 150 degrees so any adhesive that can with stand that temperature would be fine.
