Default Wont fill / no water / HELP!
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MDB4100AWB

I've searched the threads for this model number / problem. This past weekend, discovered that machine wasn't cleaning properly when the soap was still in the little cup and dishes had heat (from machine) dried on ketchup.

From the web (and this web site) I was able to find enough information for my husband to "take a look" at some of the possibilities of what could be causing this fairly new (can't remember but thinking it must be under 5 years old!) machine NOT to fill with water. He checked (touched) various wires to verify connections, checked (touched) float, etc... Tried machine and viola, it filled, washed dishes, drained and life was good!

Today started dishwasher only to discover that it wouldn't fill again. He once again touched various parts (didn't find anything noticeably wrong with any), tried the machine ....and it filled and is currently washing dishes.

Any ideas of what he should look at closer? No wires are loose that he can see. He isn't sure WHAT he is doing to make the machine fill with water. He thought it might be some sort of little coil; however, we can't find anything like this on the parts list!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much!

What I have found is bad connector contacts. Pull wires from motor, take off door panel, turn dishwasher on and set timer to water fill. Probe timer connector pin that schematic shows to be for water solenoid. Should get voltage there, if not push in pin from the outside, you will probably now get water, pin had worked itself loose.
