Wiring problem for replacement GE Motor Brand: General Electric Model Number: GSD2230 dishwasher Age: 5 - 10 years I am in the process of installing the replacement (upgraded) motor/pump p/n WD26X10013-XX on my GE dishwasher. My old motor had a different electrical connector on a pigtail so I have to adapt to connect and I don't have the adapter kit which I think came with various harnesses depending.
My machine has a quick connect with one side of the connector coming from the water inlet valve area(two white/blue wires)joined in the connector, the other side of the connector has a solid blue wire coming from the door panel. The other side of the quick connection are two identical yellow wires coming out of the old motor housing. Neither of the two motor wires contains any marking suggesting some polarity.
The new motor has two slide on connectors one marked L1, the other blank. When I make the connection from the motor to the existing wires is there polarity? or can the motor terminals be wired either way. If they are polarity sensitive which of the two wires(from door vs water inlet area) goes on the L1 side
Thank you for yiour insight
