I would not replace either at this point
Open the door panel up and remove the touch panel
Check it for poor connections and water discoloration
Do the same with the control board
On the touch pad pay special attention to the start switch, looks to me that the panel has mini switches
Get a can of electronics cleaner
Spray the start switch and push it on/off a number of times
Do the at least twice
If it uses just a ribbon cable edge connection, the ribbons edge can be cleaned with a pencil eraser, do not use an ink eraser.
If you have a meter it should be fairly easy to trace the start button back to the ribbon's edge and check it for proper operation |
