Default Will not Start?
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: GLDB953CS0
Age: 1 - 4 years

FRIGIDAIRE
MODEL GLDB953CS0

Dishwasher progressively would not start without several tries.

Would not start. Called repairman.

Said that the electronics were bad and would not be worth it
to repair. Looked up schematic on PartsSelect website.
There is a control panel and keypad.

Would anyone venture a guess as to which is the right part?

Thank you,

TB

Default

I would not replace either at this point

Open the door panel up and remove the touch panel
Check it for poor connections and water discoloration
Do the same with the control board
On the touch pad pay special attention to the start switch, looks to me that the panel has mini switches
Get a can of electronics cleaner
Spray the start switch and push it on/off a number of times
Do the at least twice
If it uses just a ribbon cable edge connection, the ribbons edge can be cleaned with a pencil eraser, do not use an ink eraser.

If you have a meter it should be fairly easy to trace the start button back to the ribbon's edge and check it for proper operation
