Default Will not drain, leaves 1 1/2 of rinse water.
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MDB8750
Age: 1 - 4 years

My d/w operates normally however it will not fully drain, it leaves 2" of water at the bottom which hampers the dry cycle. I have removed the internal tub parts as well as a drain pump motor on the underside and these are my observations.

My drain hose is routed properly and clear of debris.
The main motor does not assist in draining.
There is no drain solenoid on this model.
I pulled the 110ac drain pump motor and tested it separately, it spins up every time.
Each tub part was pulled and checked for debris and wear, all ok.
With all the tub parts removed it drains every time.
I installed the drain fill flapper (# 17 on parts breakdown) and the filter flow plate (# 7 on parts breakdown) the water can not get past the lower section of the drain flappers which are like gates for the removal of water at the lowest part of the tub, the water level remains to the bottom of the filter flow plate which mates to the top of the drain fill flapper.
MDB8750 Parts List

Any help would be appreciated
Thank You
Joe

Check to make sure your drain hose angles up from the garbage disposal to prevent garbage entering the dishwasher. If ok, try taking the rubber check valves out and see if it now drains ok.
