Whirlpool leaves lots of specks on dishes Brand: Whirlpool Model Number: GU1500XTK80 Age: 1 - 4 years The dishwasher leaves a lot of very fine food particles on the upper rack (primarily) dishes. We have gone to rinsing most everything off, which we should not have to do. This looks like fine particles, like it has passed through the grinder already.
I found "lint" stuck in the spinner above the rack, and cleaned it out. I removed the vertical pipe and it was clean. I open the door after it starts spraying, and it looks like water is getting everywhere (just stopping because I open door).
The screen under the bottom spray arm looks to be whole and in place. I presume the water flows down through the screen when in spray mode.
Somehow it appears dirt particles are getting past the screen and into the spray path. What other entry paths does the dirty water have? What else should I check.
We use rinse aid. We use Cascade liquid (gel?) detergent. Heater is working. Pump seems to spray and also remove water fully at the end.
Is there a suspect seal anywhere? I have not yet removed the screen.
Thanks
