Default Whirlpool inop
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: GU2500XTPB3
Age: 1 - 4 years

My dishwasher has the Clean LED flashing 7 times, stops and then repeats. If you shut off the breaker and turn it back on it starts flashing again. The last wash cycle seemed to be shorter than normal but the dishes were clean. It has not workes since.

With the door open, hit the high temp scrub, then the energy saver dry buttons, then repeat. Close and latch door, press cancell. This will reset the computer.

Thanks Appguy. I reset the computer and it is now working. Is there still a problem? What caused the unit to lock out?

Sometimes just a power surge will do it, other times a real failure like heater or motor problems.

Usually the 7 blinks means you had a heater fault.
