Default Whirlpool GU1200XTLS0 no lights & won't work
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: GU1200XTLS0
Age: 5 - 10 years

The whirlpool dishwasher GU1200XTLS0 will not work. No lights. Nothing. It's a direct wire. I checked the voltage and am getting 123. of power to the unit. I checked various areas of the control panl and it seems a door switch is receiving a consistent charge of 85volts from the control panel. I just replaced the circuit board about 5 months ago. Could it have gone bad already?

You guys have any ideas. I've been told to scrap it, but it seems such a waste and will be expensive. Do you have any recommendations?

If you said you said you changed the board out, then, what I would check is on the board housing there is a thermal fuse. I bet that is your problem. When you order a new board, it does not come with it. If you remember when you replaced the board, there was a small piece, that you had to take off with two wires coming to it. Take the 2 wires off, and jump them out, and put a little tape on them so they don't hit metal, and put it back together, and see what happens. The part # is 8193762. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
