Default Whirlpool dishwasher won't
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: GU1500XTB!
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have a whirlpool dishwasher model GU1500XTLB1. The wahser will fill and drain. Seems that the time will stick on certain times and take a long time to eventually move. The washer will not go into any wash cycle Normal, pots etc.). Eventually the cycle ends, but no water s sprayed on the dishes. Any ideas?
Thanks--Bill-

Does the motor run during the time that it is in the wash cycle?

Here is a link to your dishwasher model GU1500XTLB1.

Default gu1200xt whirlpool blinking lights

I have a whilpool gu1200xtkqo
sometimes all indicator lights blink when I try to start it.

all indicator lights on the panel just keep blinking.

I found out that this dishwasher monitors the AC line voltage and if it is too high It will not start and the lights will blink. I think it starts going into over voltage mode at around 124.7 volts.

I monitored my line voltage and found that when the line voltage was around
124.4 or below my dishwasher would start fine. during the washing cycle if the voltage went up around 124.7 it would stop working and a few indicator lights would start blinking. If I leave the dihwasher alone and the line voltage goes down under 124.4 it will start running and resume the cycle where it left off.

I don't know what the specs are for this over voltage shutdown, It could be that it is set too close to the normal line voltage or it could be that the components in the dishwasher changed over time (this machine is 2 years old).

I found a service note about this on the net but I don't remember where it was or I woudl leave you a link to it.

Right now when my wife yells "the dishwasher is doing the blinking lights again"
I just say leave it blinking and go to bed and it will probly start working during the night

Sometimes I dig out my DVM and check the line voltage and it reads around 124.7 to 125.4

I think the normal line voltage is around 115 to 122 volts but I am not sure.
I am located at long Island, NY

I love the internet and being able to share info with others so I am throwing this out there in hope it will help others who have a similar problem.
